Warning, this is a potentially dangerous media file! It is the actual sound and picture of my subwoofer operating at 6.66 hertz. Because the internet is digital, there will no loss of signal if and when your computer plays this file. If you have even a modest sound card in your computer and a good audio system, and in particular a subwoofer, you risk damage to your speakers or amplifier if care is not taken to keep the sound volume low. Be careful! Remember you won’t be able to hear the sound, although there may be a slight clicking or rushing sound keeping time with the fundamental signal at 6.66 hertz. I think that may be what is known as an artifact or distortion related to the mp3 encoding. Also the audio stops at about 1:46 on the player. I am not responsible for ruined subwoofers.

Did you know that Throbbing Gristle did a lot of experimentation with ultra-low frequency sounds and claimed it altered people’s mental states and put them in trances, made them lose control of their bodies, etc…

It seems it may affect different people in different. I was messing around with it and my brother starts laughing at certain frequencies, it was crazy. O_o

Not to derail all the spamming here, but this just inspired me to put my Cerwin Vega SAT 6W to the test. After shifting some heavy equipment around, I was a little disappointed to find my weak-ass dial-up connection won’t load your “player” beyond 5-6 seconds. I did proceed to find some other sites that provided test tones and well, after about 10 minutes of messing around in the area of +/-20hz I started getting a headache and needed to stop. Anyway W- Man, get rid of the digital filth that is piling up in layers here, it’s unbecoming of a man of such fervent hygiene.
