that was sad; I wanted to email some pictures of my kitty but you have no email address in wwwbland 🙁
I also want to ask you about the weather in Washington!
Please don’t be upset with me, but I don’t like email. I am only now trying to type faster and/or better. I know that is dumb, but it is the truth. I’m surprised I am actually posting on a blog as well. Keep in mind that I am quite lazy as well. I sometimes think I am the “negative” in Negativland.
As far as the weather in Seattle is concerned, I feel it is a lot like California, only wetter. Usually from late June to early August there is very little if any rain and sometimes during this time there are actually low clouds and fog in the morning just like San Francisco. The rainy season can start as early as early September and go on and off through May of the next year. In San Francisco the rains just start later and end sooner. Also like California there are very few thunderstorms and I think that is due to the cold Pacific Ocean water (40s and 50s degrees F). Colder water has less evaporation and less clouds form. In summer the clouds that do form are usually (like California) very stable, low stratus clouds and the heating of the day does not cause the clouds to build up and turn into storms. Instead the clouds simply “burn off”. In winter when the temperature of the air approaches or goes below the sea surface temperature then the atmosphere becomes more unstable and storms can move in. Even then there is very little thunderstorm activity. I was actually disappointed with the weather being (in my opinion) too similar to where I had moved from in The San Francisco Bay Area (Martinez). We do however get a little snow almost every season and I might have some pictures. I have a weather category and hopefully I’ll start posting there as well if I don’t poop out. Keep your fingers crossed!
But you’re such a great blogger/emailer…..
Well anyway, my cat is SO cute, I brought her back from Xi’an, China, where we have intense thunderstorms and downpours during the summer as well as misty days of light rain and gentle, warm breezes; I miss the rainy summers and snowy winters of northwestern China.
If you can get to myspace.com/baimao, you can see many pictures of Chinese cats and weather.
