Beatniks Part II

The Beats go on with more by and about the Beat Generation. Ken Nordine plays big part in this one with some early public readings, Ginsberg is interviewed about the Beats when the Beats were new, Kerouac on the history of Bop, jazz songs and music, poetry recited by several Beat poets, and poet callers read their stuff over our Receptacle phone.

3 Hours.

I’m looking forward to hearing this show … as soon as the download link is fixed. Thanks,

What *is* that beatnik exploitation record that features the straight guy interviewing the Real Beatnik? This show has a clip of him expending some of his cool by having used a microcorder to record some other beatnik’s “riffs”. (I particularly like the green jello story they use to explain the meaning of cool, but I’ve never known what the record is.)

I also am looking forward to hearing this and many more. I’ve been a fan since the 90s and hav been listening to the same 4 records forever. I thought the other day “Maybe they got more stuff. Are they still around?” I email City Man to my friends with cars at rush hour that have an IPhone and Bluetooth. I have Yellowtooth. You guys are prolific. Don’t die.

Now I can’t find the disk, and I can’t download it here.
