SEX SINS
From: Sam Avasq <bknp@nandomail.com> Pastor- I need help with sex sins. I have been struggling with pornography and other sex sins since I was fourteen years old. I am now twenty eight years old, with a wife and baby, and I have found that they are only getting worse. I have tried to stop cold turkey, and other ways but am overwhelmed. If there is anyone who has or is going through this before with any suggestions, please mail me any or add to this message. Sam
From: Pastor Dick <dick@negativland.com> Dear Friend, Unfortunately, this ministry cannot offer treatment for sexual deviancy by way of e-mail. I suggest that you contact a Christ-centered Protestant church in your area. Here are some guidelines to assist you in your search: 1. Call first. If the clergyman refers to himself as "Reverend" or "Father," thank him politely and hang up. A minister is a servant of God. No mortal man deserves to apply either of these titles unto himself. 2. An easy test for any house of worship is to ask if they observe "Lent." If so, there is no need for further discussion. Go elsewhere. 3. Do not align yourself with a denomination that uses any symbol other than the cross, such as the letter "P" with a small "x" at the base. Avoid ministers who wear robes or unusual collars. The presence of altarboys (or girls) or excessive use of candles should be considered red flags as well. 4. Some good gospel-believing denominations include: All Baptists (except Seventh-day), Church of the Nazarene, Evangelical Free Church, Missionary Alliance, Free Methodist, and Foursquare Gospel. 5. Avoid the following: United Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Seventh-Day Adventist, Universalist Unitarian, Assembly Of God, Vineyard Christian Church, and Lutheran Wisconsin Evangelical Synod. If you feel that you need additional help with your sexual addiction and don't mind the additional expense, contact the Crista Family Counseling Center in your area. Only because He died, Pastor Dick
