Dick,

I think you missed the point about the song. Even if it is about incest it is not a negative message. But still, if you choose to argue that it is it is still not the point. The point is that the catch line of the song AND the melody have had a positive effect even if is not the intended effect of the song. But you dismiss that in the name of some guy who apparently lived a few thousand years back and to whom we attribute great wisdom and knowledge based on old scrolls and information handed down over hundreds of generations. Ever played the telephone game?

And I know what your response will be and herein lies the problem with modern christianity. You'll get defensive, and lash out accusing me of being pagen and a heretic and ultimately you will not respect my beliefs. You will not respect my beliefs. If you did you wouldn't be trying to force your beliefs on others.

Andrew

Dear Andrew,

As I examine your critique, I have to wonder how well you were taught! If you'll go back and read my review, you'll find that I've never believed the song "Teach Your Children" was about incest. In my survey, I did ask people if they knew the song was about incest, but that was only a test! By looking at the results, you hardly deserve a passing grade!

Here's looking at you and sighing,
Pastor Dick

P.S. You've also failed your spelling test!
