DAY 8:
Intimate, well-outfitted venue in Madison (The Annex) and one of the best shows on the tour, aside from an unbelievably bad mangling of "Greatest Taste Around" which sounds like a 4th grade talent show. Audience is rapt, belligerent, eager to be tortured for 2 1/2 hours after coming through snow and 2o-degree temperatures to get there. But the club-provided food, prepared to the contract's exact specifications, is beginning to reach a sort of critical mass of hummus and kalamata olives, delicious as they may be. Shouldn't we have considered how tired we'd be of eating the precisely same food day in and day out for an entire tour? everyone asks. Apparently no one did. Continuing...
