Your Music is the Devil – Part 3

“Your Music Is The Devil” Part 3

Jan. 11 , 2013

No one typifies Devilish music more than Diamanda Galas, an avant vocalist who incorporates the scream as art. We feature Diamanda’s “music” exclusively throughout this whole show, as we learn more about the Devil and His history. For the first time in decades, callers called this show “horrible,” but it isn’t horrible, it’s just difficult listening… Unusual music for unusual listeners.

3 Hours.

This should be a good listen. Diamanda Galas used to get a tonne of airplay on the Beyond The Gates Of Hell show on CIUT back in the day -especially her Litanies of Satan material.

You’re not alone. I’ve downloaded it several times & both foobar2000 & VLC have issues (foobar hangs @ 0:15:09 while VLC skips ahead ~1hr at that point & has time index issues; Media Player Classic & Windows Media Player seem to handle it OK, though, go figure). Tried rebuilding it with mp3val & wound up with a 106meg file that’s 1:55:47. Here’s the techie output from mp3val:

WARNING: “OTE20130111.MusicIsDevil3.mp3” (offset 0xde0524): MPEG stream error, resynchronized successfully

WARNING: “OTE20130111.MusicIsDevil3.mp3”: Wrong number of MPEG frames specified in Xing header (449811 instead of 289478)

WARNING: “OTE20130111.MusicIsDevil3.mp3”: Wrong number of MPEG databytes specified in Xing header (172727972 instead of 111159552)

INFO: “OTE20130111.MusicIsDevil3.mp3”: 289478 MPEG frames (MPEG 1 Layer III), +ID3v2, CBR

Any chance this could be re-encoded/uploaded again?

Same errors on the newest dl attempts, but I noticed that the files all still have the “old” server timestamp (2013.01.12 @ 17:58:08). Is the dl URL still pointing to the old file?
