A Weatherman’s Christmas

A Weatherman’s Christmas

Dec. 26, 2014

A mix of tapes of and by The Weatherman, including his family in the Christmas kitchen, rambling thoughts of The Weatherman, edits of Seat Bee Sate and and Limbo, and lots of snipits and clipits of the great man collected over many decades of microphone usage, all accompanied by a mix of known and unknown Christmas music.

3 Hours.

I love that it turns out The Weatherman is an apparent fan of Leo Laporte’s TWiT network. I’d love to know what his favorite shows are.

Well, if we have the phones working at KPFA, you can ask him. If the phones still aren’t working, you can still deposit your question for his later response – OTE, The Weatherman’s New Year, Jan. 1st.

  3. Izzy Isn't says:

Oops, the next OTE, “A Weatherman’s New Year” will be on Jan.8.

Has there ever been an OTE specifically about or around numbers stations?

  5. Izzy Isn't says:

No. there hasn’t, though tapes of them were used occasionally in what we now call “The good old days.”
But don’t you think they make their point quickly and then become a rather repetitive experience? For 3 hours? Ok, we’ll call it art and no one will be the wiser.

Because the best place to go for all discussions regarding number stations and HAM radio is a video game podcast!
